The College of New Caledonia is a publicly funded provincially accredited community college located in British Columbia. As a mid-sized college, CNC provides you with excellent educational opportunities, personalized service, comprehensive programs in a pure English environment, and a wide range of indoor, outdoor and campus-based recreation.

  • The College of New Caledonia offers comprehensive programs in university credit, business, management, health science, ESL, technologies, social services, trades, and more. Programs are designed with input from business, industry and the community to ensure you graduate with skills that are marketable.
  • CNC has transfer agreements in place with dozens of universities in BC and Canada, including the University of Northern B.C., Thompson Rivers University, Simon Fraser University and the University of Victoria.
  • CNC is know for our small class sizes and friendly atmosphere.
  • University level courses are affordable, among the lowest  tuition fees charged by BC colleges, allowing students to save thousands of dollars over two years of study.

Campus Life

 The College of New Caledonia is a vibrant and active college, offering you a variety of ways to be active and meet friends. You are welcomed to the College of New Caledonia with a full orientation that takes place prior to the start of each semester. This is a great time to adjust to your new school and learn how to have a successful year of studies in a new environment. Each month, there are many activiites planned for students to ensure you have a full college experience.
Activities include:


  • Come out to the Welcome Barbeque at the start of the Fall Semester
  • Enjoy an evening of karaoke and pizza
  • Join the Dinner and a Movie evening once each semester
  • In the winter, try skiing or snow boarding at any one of the local hills (there are many to choose from)
  • Hockey, ping pong, volleyball and soccer are only some of the many sports enjoyed by students here
  • Check out the intramural schedule
  • Volunteer in the community
  • Join a club or start your own
  • Check out the local theatre clubs
  • Enjoy the Prince George symphony
  • Learn to hip-hop, two step or salsa dance
  • Cinema CNC shows great movies that you won't often find at the video store or theatre

Services and Facilities

The College of New Caledonia offers you a full range of services and facilities to help you have the best possible living and learning experience.

  • Admissions: submit applications, register for classes, get a student ID card, arrange entrance testing, pay fees, and order transcripts.
  • Athletics and Recreation: work out in the gym, take a kayaking clinic or cheer on the CNC Kodiaks volleyball team.
  • Cafeteria: Food for your mood! Visit the grill for hamburgers and fries, or try out our Culinary Arts students' ever-changing hot lunch plates.
  • Centre for Student Success: Get help with study skills, test taking strategies, time management, and more.
  • College Store: You will find everything you need for student life.
  • Computer labs: CNC's IBM and Mac labs are open early in the morning, until late into the evening.
  • Counseling and Advising: Visit the counseling and advising department for help with course selections, career choices, or transferring. Or talk over personal problems in a confidential atmosphere.
  • Kodiaks Restaurant: Enjoy a great gourmet dining experience. Kodiaks Restaurant is located on campus and is open only a few months each year. It is a taste experience to savour.
  • Library and Study Centres: 180,000 books .... 1500 movies ... use email, the internet, and borrow books or movies - all for free!
  • Student Association: Your student association provides many services, including photocopying, discount travel cards, locker rentals, and help finding a place to live. Get involved and make a difference.
